Two Peas In A Pod

Email exchange between Fiance and I this afternoon:

Fiance: You wanna go to the gym tonight?

Teeny: Ok. I'm really motivated to get fit this time. I'm determined to get in shape and I think now's a good time to join the gym - while we have a goal to work towards. We can have a workout and go for a swim afterwards? Then come home and cook a healthy, balanced meal.

F: Sounds good to me. You're right, we should strike while the iron's hot - there's no time like the present. My body WILL be a temple once again.

T: Plan.

Conversation between Fiance and I this evening, upon arriving home from work:

F: How about we go to the gym another night?

T: Ok.

F: Fancy a takeaway?

T: You betcha!

He's a terribly bad influence on me.

Maybe you should arrange to meet in the gym next time. And not outside (as its not too late to bail), but inside on the running machines!

Haha, I love it. Boyfriend & I are the same way. He's more motivated than I, but can still be convinced to scrap running in favor of a pizza and some TV. ;)

I knew BF was the man for me when he told me the purpose of Sundays were to stay all day in bed drinking tea, eating bacon rolls, watching box sets and snuggling me. . .

I've no time for nor interest in the gym. I walk for at least an hour every day in my daily routine and that's plenty. And I can do it in heels.

In defence of the Boy I should note that this was out of character for him - he's the motivated one, I'm the lazy toerag that wants to snuggle up on the sofa. But he has toothache so who can blame him?

I do want to get fit for the event in September that I'm trying not to talk about (but I'm also looking forward to getting good and fat afterwards) so I am keen to go. We're now going on Sunday.

And Cat? I salute you - I can barely walk to the bus stop at the end of the road without whining about sore feet.
