Tag, You're It

Dammit.

Just as I was getting ready to write today's witty, thoughtful, well-crafted post, I get tagged by The Goth. Oh well, I'll have to just tell you what the first 10 songs on my iPod are:

1) Love Rollercoaster - Red Hot Chili Peppers
2) Even Fallen In Love? - Buzzcocks
3) All Along The Watchtower - Jimi Hendrix
4) Why Do You Love Me? - Garbage
5) Jammin' - Bob Marley and the Wailers
6) End Over End - Foos
7) The Bends - Radiohead
8) Love Her Madly - The Doors
9) Alive - Pearl Jam
10) Supermassive Black Hole - Muse

These are the first 10 songs that come up when I set it to shuffle, hand on heart.

Conclusion? I need to branch out, music-wise.

Apparently I have to tag 5 people to do the same, so here goes:

Stacey
Sarah
Elisabeth
James
Random Reflections

Sorry people, he made me do it.

I innocently wander by to get my daily dose and discover you have tagged me.

I don't actually own an iPod so will have to scratch my head and come up with something.

If, however, you are willing to buy me an iPod I would be able to enter into the spirit of this far more. Please feel free to send one my way.

I got Elisabeth first. Na na na na nah!!!

Oh and since I posted today mine are in my comments:

Editor’s notes: The reason Potbelly is mentioned twice is because my i-pod is jammed with every one of their songs. And they always come up. Sometimes three times in a row. There is a reason for this and to better serve identity protection I will email you it.

Know that I also share i-tunes with Boyfriend.

In order of appearance.

*Cringe*

Frontline – Captain

America – Razorlight

Robin Hood – Ocean Colour Scene

Cocaine Currency – Potbelly

Bullet the blue sky – U2

Eskimo – Damien Rice

Keep On Smiling – Potbelly (again)

Let it Roll – Train

Rhazel - Human Beat Box (WTF? This is my embarrassing one – but it IS very impressive, forgot this was on it)

Everything You Want – Vertical Horizon

A sample of hundreds of songs. Don't judge me on my mainstreamness. I swear this all to be true. (Really would I put Rhazel up there otherwise)

Tagging: Elisabeth, Craic Girl, SH, CJ and Goth.

I have already been to your please and forced you into it :-)

Please? I mean place.

Nice selection Teeny. Rock on.

I did this at Drama Queen's, but I must confess that Morrissey came up more than once and I skipped the second track.

Anyway. iPod:

Going Down - The Stone Roses

Weekend Without Makeup - The Long Blondes

Open Your Arms - Editors

Nightmare Part II - The Zutons

Andy, You're a Star - The Killers

The Good, The Bad and The Queen - The Good, The Bad and The Queen

Take, Take, Take - The Whitestripes

Next Exit - Interpol

Disappointed - Morrissey

Spiralling - Antony and the Johnsons

Am I cool? Or not?

More interesting, I think, is the CD Shuffleathon over at Swiss Toni's place where you can read his review of the virtual CD I lovingly prepared for him, mine of his, and all the other reviews of real CDs.

my list's at DQ's. I like this game! If you don't have an ipod (for advertising purposes other MP3's are available) try sitting with a stack of CD's shut your eyes and pick one, then with your finger hovering over the tracklist shut your eyes again and point. Takes longer but only way i could think of shuffling your music manually.

I am ashamed. While the boyfriend is in love with his iPod, I have yet to join the rest of the world in owning one. Thanks for the tag, anyway, Teeny! Here's what I imagine would be come up randomly if I owned one:

1.) Satellite - Guster
2.) The Funeral - Band of Horses
3.) Starlight - Muse
4.) You Got the Silver - Susan Tedeschi
5.) Gangster of Love - Jimi Hendrix
6.) One Tree Hill - U2
7.) Nothing in my Way - Keane
8.) Hang Me Up To Dry - Cold War Kids
9.) London Calling - The Clash
10.) Gallows Pole - Led Zeppelin

Top Teeny list - I have every single track on my Muppet-3 :-)

And I didn't make anyone do it, I just thought it might provoke a bit of fun and expand peoples ring (blogging ring I mean)

RR - You could always disclose the contents of your handbag instead?!

DQ - I must obtain some Potbelly then...

Cat - definitely cool. And the shuffleathon is a fab idea.

GTTT/Stacey - There must be millions of people who don't own an iPod. I'm sure Apple are doing everything they can to change that though...

Goth - I know you didn't make me do it, I was kidding of course #blows kiss#

And re expanding people's rings - no comment! Oo-er.

Hey Teeny - I've posted my list to my blog and its not as embarrassing as I feared. I'll have to think of something to tag you with now !!
